Outrage Sunday 147 phoenix

Our bed-selling friends have re-grouped, and are doing the avian business. Exceptional men.feralbirdThis Bulwer Street specimen won’t be doing anything pheonix-like, though, alas. treemurderAnd I hope the young bloke who was in this Curtin Uni dunny was able to rise again. The pen gives the scene extra pathos. spewpen

New York Sublime & Bitches

Is everyone sick of the plight of Maylands? BSWAM Bartender’s skills with a Manhatten sends a poignant New York subway song in two parts. For a moment we can feel that Noo Yoik could be Maylands.

Bones

PM shares the winner of the art proposal that camouflages the destruction of the beloved 7th Avenue Bridge. It’s made with timbers from the bridge and polished with lanolin. Apparently. I have no idea. I can’t see Perth public art without the meh.

Misspent yoof sees a classic adjustment to a TWOP classic, from can it be nearly seven years ago? Classic.

Postal

NF#1 managed to snap Bayswater posties being trained in the art of selling Andre Rieu CDs and low capacity thumb drives. Think ABC Shop with more desperate workers and step throughs. Yeah.

Shimed Off

Is it really gone? The battle of the morning star, discussed here 4 or 5 years ago, but up there for so many years before? So many Worsts are becoming vanished these days. Have a click on the vanished worst category and scroll through. It’s a glimpse into another world, another Perth. The city where a Biggest Bingo and a Maylands bra factory could exist have gone. It’s almost ridiculous that they could have ever have existed. The Perth of worsts just half a decade ago is gone forever.

So Shime never got that ladder eh? (See comments in original post). I hope it will be replaced by a small bar, but sadly I’m guessing advertising billboard of Fred Ardon and Susannah Carr. Vale. That’s not an improvement. And the camera. Yeah. By James N.

Outrage Sunday 146 civil disobedience II

Cottesloe. I swear I’m not making these up! The passive-aggresive lamination was strong in this one. I’ve also included Greg Hoey‘s latest advertising campaign, at the Eric Street shops. I’m not familiar with AWAKE: I look forward to skink paying for it and providing a review. Mr Hoey has always struck me as someone you’d meet in the Mos Eisley cantina: may the Fourth be with you! brushpleasemorehoey
