Outrage Sunday 175 backyard cinema

Movies under the stars? Yes please! But not that UWA stuff – that’s for patsies. Perth Truth Seekers‘ Backyard Cinema: Summer Series is going strong. Last week we had Origins : Our Roots. Our Planet. Our Future, a “documentary about the intrinsic connection between the human lifestyle, our health and the vitality of our planet“. 600_431938670

It’s pretty clear that we have changed. Only a few generations ago, chronic illnesses like heart disease, cancer, and diabetes were seen in only a small percentage of the population. Today, some statistics show that more than three-fourths of the western world are afflicted with one of these major illnesses. The question is…

How did this happen?

We are so much more advanced in our technology, but, collectively, we are in the Stone Age when it comes to the health and vitality of our bodies. As a matter of fact, our Stone Age ancestors had this dialed in better than we do. Images of Fred Flintstone and Barney Rubble do not give our origins justice… I’m pretty sure no one has ever eaten a brontosaurus burger, but I’ve seen plenty of people eat Double Whoppers.

In the new movie Origins, we get the inside look at how we lost touch with our natural state of well-being. We finally get an explanation of what happened, and how we ended up entrenched in disease. But, more importantly, we get a map on how to get back to our roots, and experience vitality NOW and well into our future..”

It was awesome, and I for one was astounded to discover what my mitochondria are really for! See you at the next Backyard Cinema:

THRIVE is an unconventional documentary that lifts the veil on what’s “really” going on in our world by following the money upstream – uncovering the global consolidation of power in nearly every aspect of our lives.

Weaving together breakthroughs in science, conciousness and activism, THRIVE offers real solutions, empowering us with unprecedented and bold strategies for reclaiming our lives and our future.

“My apologies to all those in attendance last time who would be expecting a film about Geoengineering,” our host said. “I do intend to set an evening aside for this topic in the near future but I really want to include some of my own video footage and numerous other footage shot in WA on this important topic. I need a little more time to put it all together in order to give an expansive presentation for those unaware of the global weather modification programs underway.”

Her Indoors

Love this. A local RSL Club. Btw the “His” was a blank piece of glass. Probably punched out by a Kokoda vet.

pit stop

The Blonde Terminator writes: “Ladies toilets Claremont Quarter 9.50am today: looks like someone took some quiet time to regroup while doing the hellish Christmas shopping.” IMG_9830

Honk if you’re running into my house

Yes and yes from Big Ramifications. (A stalwart?). I haven’t been to Howlers. But obviously they are buying in some decent fresh North Perth melon. I like the twin honkers on the roof too. And is that a disabled railing for negotiating the bonnet? Perhaps Honkers will offer a discount to readers of this blog?

Slovenia Vibrant

Bento tries his hand at some quintessential. For perhaps the first time since his
Tankmaster Day and Tankmaster Night series over 5 years ago.
I really like what the Slovenians have done here. Thanks Bento. That Tankmaster Night was a blog highlight.

Teh West has it covered

On the weekend TLA was snarky about the media (“Is it that hard to go up there and get their names wrong and put the worst possible spin on what they are doing?”). The same shtick earlier today, where he delighted in The West now not quite covering all of our wide brown land (“I think they had the feeling that anyone would care”). It’s easy to kick a man – an industry – when he’s down, isn’t it. I note he hasn’t mentioned this counter-balance of good news, in The West today. The numbers are a bit puzzling, but hey: buy a regional paper this week! IMG_9818

Dead Worlds

Alasdair manages to show three dead worlds. Pay phones, books and…Mandurah. And did anyone see that The West has stopped delivering the paper to some country regions! Fucking Outrage! How will they find out about the Rudd Gillard government from Paul Murray? I think they had the feeling that anyone would care.

Outrage Sunday 174 dolphin boomerang

Yes I said dolphin boomerang. Magic happens at the brick wall on James Street in Guildford. I felt like my angel was injecting me with vibrancy. Or do I mean my wanjina? What the hell. dolphinboomerangDolphin boomerang. Away out, man! There’s a bit of the beatnick in all of us. As Sir Les Patterson says: never trust a man who doesn’t smoke. awayoutKrazy Kym and I were baffled by the people on the bridges over the Mitchell Freeway. Were they expecting a Bunbury roundabout to be installed? Are they queueing extra early for the Skyshow? We Woogled on the way to up there but were none the wiser. Anyone? bridge2bridge3bridge1
