Fancy bongs biggest victims in Liberal resurgence!

Thanks to everyone who participated in last night’s livebolg liveblog of the election. Was fantastic. Thousands of views, many, many great comments. This morning the result still isn’t finalised, but it loooks likely that Colin “The Bucket” Barnett will be the next Premier unless The Nationals bizarrely decide to team with Labor. The consensus was, “Carps, you fucked it.” You will now be tagged worst politician.

Colin’s anti bong campaign resonated with the voters, and unless Julian Grylls of The Nats uses his new leverage to get Colin to temper his bong hatred (for the benefit of country constituents), you don’t have much time to get one shaped like a giant donger.

Penis bongs will also be right out.

Is there a Greek myth where Zeus chows down on an orchard of unripe olives, assumes the form of a bull and then craps all over a young maiden? It does sound sort of familiar, or am I thinking of Tales of The City? Purely awesome mould/slime over a fountain in Chelmsford Street Highgate. Love the chunks. This might have made a better poster for Curtin University Poker Club. Is there a touch of the Carps in that face?

An excellent submission from CC. Why has this derelict Western movie set been here for so long in such a busy area? No doubt a fire will go through it now it’s been posted here. CC says…

The old western end of the Innaloo restaurants south of Scarb Bch Rd opposite Bunnings. These buildings have been abandoned and in this condition for as long as I can remember. I recall one of them used to be a Good, Bad and Ugly mexican restaurant and the name is still visible on the building itself, and one was obviously a China Palace or similar. The buildings seemed to go from open and trading to this condition overnight and then have stayed looking like this ever since. I quite like them. Only a few hundred metres away the place is flat-out with people almost constantly, and yet there are ruins sitting there in full view.

State Election Live and Worst!

All the worst aspects of the state election will be covered live here on Saturday, from Alannah MacTiernan’s hair to Albert Jacob’s wife’s arse.

Will we see Carps cry, or Colin muse about why The West built him up then suddenly withdrew support like they did last time? Perhaps both will happen.

Remember, no language restrictions here at TWOP, and the shallowest cracks about the candidates’ appearance will be welcomed. Starting from whining about the quality of merchandise at the cake stalls as the booths open, up until the time we get sick of it and go to bed, it all happens here. Just another reminder of the sinister hold pap merchant Andre Rieu has over the city. This is just a small section of the wall of DVD’s. If you’ve never heard his spine shredding version of Waltzing Matilda… Imagine a trio with Clayderman on keys, Rieu on Violin, and Kenny G on Sax doing “I just called to say I love you”. Then imagine them being tortured for their crimes.

I snapped this one of the nose cone of St Mary’s Cathedral being fitted with nuclear weapons before being put in place. The sign says something about bringing the church into the 21st century. Wouldn’t that mean shrinking it, rather than expanding it? Some sort of phone booth sized kiosk would be sufficient wouldn’t it?

Another couple from Turf. I’m still not sure what to do with the volume of submissions. 2 a day, or do a mammoth post with dozens of pics? Anyhow, Turf, who still has more, snaps two worsts in one blow, with a hand painted Pepsi sign with an Italian mansion behind it in Seaview Street Beaconsfield.
