Weekend Worstoff 51

Rachael suppies a follow up pic that answers the question of whether the high rolling parking machine was broken. AND it doesn’t take 50c pieces. Fucking outrage. Thanks Rachael.

week51park

One older submission from Cookster who notes this insect repellant/deodorant next to the Lynx. I reckon lynx might knock a cockroach off. Floreat Forum.

Brownbook sends this terrible 6PR ad. No I don’t think it’s a mistake. Remember the ad where one of these clowns was eating vegemite, the other caviar, & one had a tuxedo the other a t shirt? They were trying to set up this odd couple thing, but if you ever listen to the show, they were both equally moronic.

week516pr

Another old submission from Cookster. This is at the housing development at Hollywood High schoool site. it wouldn’t be that bad except why is the woman wearing a lightshade?

And one more to complement our truck shots the other day. I think this was from Outrage??

I’m not sure what’s worst about the Jiffy ad (other than the bleeding obvious) but it must be a contra. There are some abysmal radio ads on PR for the company.

And that woman is clearly Chinese.

    • But isn’t she wearing the same lightshade he is fixing.

As well as their half sister station 6IX – and believe it or not, they will not serve you if you hail it on the side of the road, the only go to building sites/factories where there is supposedly no deli-lunch bar.

The idiots would make more money if they did roadside trade like MR Whippy does.

Mysterious entries, TLA. What’s wrong with 50 cent pieces? Have they demolished Hollywood, esteemed bastion of education, sex, drugs, and rock and roll? At least we seem to finally know how many statues it takes to change a light bulb.

Be careful what you wish for, DFOC.

Cookster needs to learn a little about making photographs “contra jour”.

Fantastic stuff, Frank. Thanks so much for those. That’s not your grandfather on the squeezebox in the first one, is it?

The second one is vintage worst. Moustaches, Burkie, and Basil Campbell throwing his weight around. What more could you ask for?

I believe it’s rolf Harris on the Squeeze Box, and note that the audio on the first one is a touch solow, because the film was shot at 25 frames per second which was the standard PAL TV film speed, but the film was transferred at 24fps – normally when you see films on TV which were shot at 24fps, there is a 4% audio speed up which is really noticable in music.

and yes , the second video is a classic Peter Dean, Ted Bull and Pete Brown on 6IX – I think the audio operator in that shot is the appropriately named (the late) Tim Thunder.
