this place finally opened yesterday, so i stopped by this morning. There was a line out the door. It took ten minutes to order. I chose a cream cheese and lox bagel, plus six plain bagels. They gave me my plain bagels in a bag and a buzzer for my order and told me it would be a twenty-five minute wait. After twenty minutes i was bored and hungry so ate a bagel from my stash. It wasn’t a bagel, more like a chewy brioche. I couldn’t finish it. I got pissed off and started googling for where to leave a snarky review and found this page. I didn’t know TWOP had been re-animated. When the wait got to thirty minutes i said ‘Fuck This’ to the dude making coffee, put the buzzer and the bag of bagels on the counter, and flounced out.

First day. Could be teething problems. I thought that bagff ed ks were kind of chewy.

i’ll forgive them the wait as teething troubles, all new places get mobbed when they open. But they bragged for a long time how ‘the recipe has been perfected to the nth degree’. Bagels are supposed to be chewy, but dense, and not sweet.
