Orbea sent this in thinking it may be a tableau of graffiti from the Kimberly. I guess that depends on whether you think it’s Allan or Allah.

Ahh, you would have been there for the really big flood then. I heard people were playing pool at the old pub sitting in their boats. And Jan the bar manager got swept away in it and had to cling to a tree for a few hours. I think she made it onto the news as a news helicopter filmed her in the tree. And a bloke called Blue killed a large king brown that swam into the dunnies at the pub.

Yep. I was working as the yardie at the Crossing Inn, and it was a bit like that, notwithstanding the local predilection for embellishment.

That’s where I worked too. I was 19 and it was the first time I’d ever been away from my sheltered existence in Mt Pleasant. I don’t think I could have picked a more extreme place to begin my adult life. Nothing has shocked or surprised me since then.

This be the verse. Shout out for Perth Poetry Festival this week. Hoping to write something new for the slam contest on Sat night, but will most likely fall back on an old TWOP effort.

I’m surprised you’re not tweeting live from the slam.

Wow: just saw that there are 18 currently online. Surely a record, even if 15 of them live in Kalamumda.

The record is 93 online at once. From a Reddit link.
