The Outrage Denunciation

Well if only 380 (at time of writing) want Outrage Cohen out of journalism, then he is not doing his job! And therefore should be out of journalism. Surely we can get this above 10,000, where he could be proud to have done his job – of quilting the quilty. On another subject entirely, is there anything lamer and lazier than an online petition? Who would ever take notice of such a limp protest? This is only one step more effective than complaining to the press council! In any case, vote now. I’m sure we have all seen worse crimes than the petitioners have.

Vote now. Join the conversation.

His article brought a young woman (20) to suicide so there is a good reason for people to be angry at him at the moment.

      • If so a lame online petition is the last place it should be discussed.

        • And in any case, using a forum of crackpots and every loser with some half imagined slight that in any case nobody will put any credence to is a further insult.

Maybe, but maybe you we hoped it would make you and The Post recognise that naming and shaming people, particularly a troubled 20 yr old female on minor drug, before conviction, is not really an appropriate thing to do.
And maybe you could acknowledge that you had some part in her death, which you undeniably did. To pretend that publicly shaming her did not influence her state of mind is irrational. If you disagree, consider if an article using your name and home address were published in The Post, shaming your lack of journalistic integrity.

You should be ashamed of what you write and the heartache you cause. She wasn’t in the right, but you did not help the situation. An apology to the family and friends of this girl is required, and you should consider the consequences of your writing before publication, as should The Post

“Not just because of the above, but because of illegal writing. I know on at least one occasion the accused “named and shamed” an individual before they went to court and were officially charged. Details were also made about her family home. This is illegal and no apology was made to the individual or her family. Even when consulted on the issue by a family member he refused to take responsibility stating that he was allowed to because he was a crime writer. Crime writers are not above the law. He’s lucky the family haven’t contacted the police, or he’d have to write about himself. I wonder if he would subject himself to the same ordeal.”

Illegal writing? I said GOOD DAY Sir!

So are the allegations true? Does he show bias in not naming and shaming violent criminals? If so, why?

And have a look at the pic, willya. Is he flipping the bird? He looks like some slimeball sneaking into court on a “one punch” trial, dressed in his Good Sammy’s finest.
