Well even though the over-boozie mural is pretty bad, it is a little disturbing. Ours never reach levels beyond “some dude got a haircut.”

This lewd mural represents a sailing ship figurehead though , as kingston was once a hudson river whaling town in the pre-kerosene pre-standard oil pre-rockefeller days , difficult as those days may be to imagine for advanced us

Probably . Still one likes the neoclassical allusion in hudson valley public art both to Cybele of asia minor and sperm whale hunting sailors of upstate New York

I did not know that. It makes new sense for Kingston, which was the original fortress city of the Dutch settlers.
