The Naughty Heap of History

In the vibrancing of Perth some must be tossed on the scrap heap. Naughty Don Rogers. Before he was naughty. Just Don and his Toyotas. Now going mad with money in the sky. Or similar.

Actually, Don Rogers wasn’t a bad bloke at all. Bought a few new Tojos off him at various times.
He could sell cars – he made a motza out of selling Toyotas when owning a Toyota dealership was a licence to print money.
However, he got stars in his eyes over gold mining, and invested all his money in a promising gold mine.
Unfortunately that promising gold mine never delivered on its promises, and he went broke and lost everything. Thus going to show, he didn’t realise he was already sitting on a gold mine, selling Toyotas.
Don disappeared off the face of the earth after that, he’s never been seen since. Not sure if he’s still alive even.
John Hughes bought Don Rogers Toyota from the liquidators of Don Rogers, and turned it into New Town Toyota. Just doesn’t have the same character with that name.

I actually have a printed 100 dollar bill with his picture on it that was always tossed into the air by him during the ads he made at that time that I scored when I was working on the set of a TVC we were doing for him.
