All your attracts…

Reign of Error worsts Martindale Hall in South Australia, made famous by Picnic at Hanging Rock movie. Which I hated on finding out it was not based on a true story. And because it was really rather silly. I hope ROE left the lights on and the cistern endlessly running.martindale

No don’t. Herbert was a fascist who arguably betrayed the nation.

The secession vote was the greatest act of subversion in our history. No matter how Moore spins the PR on this, ASIO will be all over them. I understand your civilised reluctance to agree with anything written by Murray but if you examine it closer, he’s wrong again. With or without WAXIT WA still looks redneck hick.

That depends on the perspective of the viewer as well as on the definition of “hick”.
The ‘cultural cringe’ which has existed for so long across the whole of Australia retains echos of its past in this comment.
Defining oneself, or one’s community founded on the percieved greater qualities of ‘elsewhere’, is fundamental to denegrating its uniqueness: Too often, the individual particularities which make a society function well within the circumstances of its existence are not recognised – contrarywise, they are often denegrated.
The shallow viewpoint of comments such as this, as well as its all-encompassing and arrogant assumption that the Perth metropolis comprises the whole of the State and its values, is entirely facile.
