Melbourne style. With unusual bonus boozie.
Back to Perth, a blogger alerts to this Perth Bus shelter which he claims cost ratepayers $48,000
‘Lathlain Place has gained a funky new addition with the installation of a new bus shelter complete with a swing. The bright and fun design was chosen to complement the streetscape upgrade on Lathlain Place, and to add to the vibrancy of the area.
Late last year, the Town sought expressions of interest to design, build and install a bus shelter to “transform the dull experience of waiting for the bus into an entertaining, leisurely one as part of making Lathlain Place a people-friendly street”.
The bus shelter is at the intersection of Howick Street and Lathlain Place and has two swings, as well as a bench seat, roof and blue geometric design.
Next time you are waiting for the bus hop on for a swing!’
Keyworks funky and vibrancy. And just how many bus drivers are going to stop when they see you on a swing? Even if you do manage to hail the bus with outstretched arm. Should install sandpit to break your fall. Another $48 grand.
Knowing you are leaving Laithlain always helps ease the pain of waiting for the bus. And it doesn’t cost ratepayers a thing.

Emo lesbian witch wheelie bin corpses are surely vibrant enough?
Too vibrant. Unless it is street theatre.
Emo lesbian witch wheelie bin corpses ON A SWING!
You know the only thing more vibrant would be a Lathlain/casino monorail.
is all. We even had a street festival last week.
How can one gozlemi van cover 2000 separate and identical street festivals every week? At least Latho ( and Collie) have the differentiating emo goth lezzo witch wheelie thing going for them.
There weren’t even gozleme, but the fish and chipper had a stall going.
The monorail could awesomely leave for the still extant red castle tower I guess
I’m still thinking “googley eyes”.
Maybe in NY, but in Australia googly eyes are reserved for rocks, nuts and Neds.
There’s got to be a good joke in there somewhere – something like a bus commuter hailing a bus from the swing – and when the bus stops, the commuter says, “No, I don’t want a ride – I just want a push!”
C&B – but mainly B – news:
“When compared to the penis, testicles deliver little of the visual drama, the emotional impact, or the purely corporeal pleasure to either owner or partner…”
Many of the comments on the Guardian’s topics are a load of bollocks, not the least this one.
C&B, without the B:
Pinder surprise on a fork more like it.
