Charrettes I’ve had a few…

Skink notes that Beaufort Street continues its descent into self parody, with the “Design Charette”. Charette being Parisian slang for prominent buttocks, literally “Small cart or chariot that follows behind.” Appropriate for The Arrondissement I guess. Many worst elements. involved, City of Stirling, Civic Hotel, Beaufort Street, the fact that it’s a “Visioning Workshop”…Really.charette

Is there a WHO guidance on the maximum allowable number of wankers per square metre? They must be getting close…

I think the name ‘Charrette’ could catch on. I look forward to it appearing next year on those lists of ‘names bogans christen their babies.’ perhaps displacing Chardonnay and Savannah. It’s a good name for a footballer’s wife. I was disappointed that it wasn’t French for ‘little Sharon’

Well if you’ve got a better way to facilitate an activity node, I’d love to hear it.

Midland did not just have one Charette, the Shire of the day commissioned two Charettes. The Ratepayers funded the design plan, there were countless committees set up to direct the changes and the Administration of the day ignored most if not all of the recommendations. As a direct result Midland Town lost Vince Gareffa as a business owner, being told by the Mayor of the Day
“Over my dead body will that road ever be opened again.”
Thank You City of Swan for facilitating the current derelict Town.
