Weekend Worstoff 157

Pete F saw the terrible sculpture pulling cones in Freo. Definite improvement.Natalia Fan#1 sees a curiously flattened back door in Malaga Markets. Isn’t this a distorted Schiele? The Country Bandit sees that the spirit is weak in Stoneville. This style of font is making a comeback in advertising you may notice.
Orbea finds that Mirrabooka is catching the spirit too.Krissy liked this packet at Woolies. Why? Just Cos.And Bart K saw a fire exit change room in Melbourne.

Terrific collection of worsts. Pete F and Country Bandit truly bring home the bacon again, and Orbea sums up Mirrabooka in one succinct shot.Though I’ve seen it before, I can’t place the nude – it seems a little too “soft” for Schiele.

actually TLA summed up Mirrabooka (which apparently means southern cross tattoo in a Victoria aboriginal dialect) in one shot. I took two shots of the billboard and the other side is equally a worthy exhibition of the worth of advertising.

I love TLA’s kronic/dope theme for this WW – cones in freo, stoned in spirit at the stonehouse out of mundaring, mirrabooka and malaga hydro, and melbourne confusion. Good to see the only fresh food is already composting.

Nice conework, but who’s that anyway ? Looks like Jezza. Wouldn’t Freo have gone with Basil Campbell ironing someone out ?

I quite like the zen signs, and is that four fonts in one laminstrosity ?

Not sure I’d feel comfortable using a change room which doubles as a fire exit, particularly since it is under constant surveillance.

    Is that even legal?

I think that Stoneville worst is actually in Sawyers Valley.

There’s nothing worth mentioning in Stonville except for a fairly cheap bottle shop.

      • There was a servo in Stoneville or nearby that we used to stop at on the way back to our farm in the 60s and 70s. It may even have been this place.

That’s actually where the botto’o is now if we’re thinking of the same place. It was still a servo until at least the late 90’s, after that it was just a general store. After a while the general store closed cause it was shit. The building lay empty for years until it was finally renovated and turned into a drive through botto’o. Its actually called the Botto’o, fucking brilliant!

There is no public art that cannot be improved with the addition of orange traffic cones.

I believe it may be council policy in Freo RWL, along with your rate notice comes a voucher for a tattoo, instructions on use of recumbent bicycles only for trips of less than 3 k & the proper use of traffic cones.

A fairly poor signwriting effort at the old Stonehouse Gull servo, with the variable thickness and off-kilter kerning of Cooper Black italics.

Deserves to be closed. Guess it could’ve been worse still, with inappropriate Papyrus or cheaparsed Arial…better call Comic Sans Counselling, which isn’t too much of a trundle from home for me…
