Get Your Rosaries Out of My Arson

Serial soft focus wallahs Cookster and Outrage Cohen take note of these sharp, poetic, superbly taken worsts from WAtching. A burnt out van next to the drivethrough with an extinguish arson sign in situ? The slanted sunlight, the stauration, the backlighting, the fucking humanity! And I still want fries with it! Hooooooooooeeeeee that’s some good Perth worsting. The best a man can get. Frame these mothers. Did you say Dog Swamp WAtching? Have a Google maps ref?

It’s on the corner of Charles st and Scabs Beach rd, more like North Perth than Swamp Dog.

  2. sigga says:

I am sorry, what was it you were saying about Gosnells?? Surely Dogswamp has to have a worse rep…. So the folk in Gosnells recycle curtains, at least they are “greener” in their attitude to the material things in life.

Thank you, that was my rant for 2009.

A happy Festive season to you all (wanting to remain pc and all that) and hope that 2010 isn’t as disappointing as you all expect it to be.

    • shazza says:

Sorry sigga, I suspect Gosnells is second only to Maddington when competing for the ‘worst rep’ title. Although I’m not too familiar with what horror lies North of Perth. (Balga aside of course, and Beechboro to the East)

  3. WAtching says:

I actually drove past this a week earlier and there were people in the front seats. Unfortunately I did not have time to capture it.

Yes it is North Perth. While i was there, a shirtless guy carrying a beer carton asked me if i would write to the paper to because it is an eyesore. Fuck the paper.

This is your problem Buckels. So how about a bit more car removal and a bit less latte sipping.

    • G'day from WA says:

Kudos WAtching, you must have been lurking there for a while to get every angle like that, surely at no small risk to your person.

  4. flynn says:

Does any-one else see a startling similarity between the two red/yellow signs in the background of pic two? Would make a burger more palatable if you could add a wine to the order.

  5. curious says:

    absolute gold WAtching.

  6. monkeypants says:

is that near where there was a male strip club in north perth? very special place. almost spiritual – the church of nuding up. fabulous.

  7. David Cohen says:

I can almost smell the end of days/zombies about to charge around the corner.

  8. And the street that can be seen in the Background is coincidentally another ex lazy aussie student slum street, Sydney Street. (92). The place had several fucking Geminis in front of it last time I was there. I should look up 92 Sydney on google maps, but it wouldn’t show the foil lined room under the foundations.

  9. Onanist says:

That is beautifully shot and yes, it conveys an almost post-apocalyptic feel.

However, although I do not really eat take away, is that van parked next to a Chicken Treat outlet, closed?
