Weekend Worstoff 78

This month is easily going to be the biggest ever, even topping September which had the famous B&S post. Thanks to Tim Winton for making it possible.

The West website seemed to have nothing but worsts the other day. No climbing on the pylon? Fuck offColin! Why bother to fix it. Nice one plonker. US cops probe Pinjarra man? Fake Atwell Party? Brian Burke? It’s all worst all the way. Thanks to Chaingedaile. Click for larger if necessary.week78westTurf has been endeavouring to create some high art worsterising by buying the same car as his neighbour who has the same looking house and parking it in the same spot. Thanks Turf. I believe wife swapping is being led up to here. week78mirrorAnd there was a brief revival of the old Scabs Beach post this week. One of those wonderful get a life crowd. Dameon was able to add this image of Scarborough Beach to the mix. Lovely. World class beach.  Good old Scabs.week78scabsThanks everyone. Worst well.

Thornlie swingers’ club started exactly that way I believe.

    • shazza says:

yes PL, as a former resident of Thornlie I can vouch for that. I have a hunch the photo above is in Willagee (I’m sure I’ll be corrected if otherwise) So I would say this is the next chapter in the Perth Swingers stable. The Melville electorate have been left out for too long.

    • The original was actually The MADDINGTON Swingers club. It was a news item where a brawl had broken out outside the Maddington swingers club. Something about the number of blokes versus women. Thornlie might have a One Australia Club, an anti darkie club, or even a pimp my Asian club, but they would neer be sophisticated enough for a proper swingers club.

Just thought I would mention daylight saving. Remember that?

Anyone using MS Windows operating systems need to turn off the daylight saving function today or your computer clock will advance 1 hour tonight.

The three hour difference with the east coast might not be so easily handled.

  3. Snuff says:

If he’s from Pinjarra, he’d be well used to it.

Planting that peppermint tree reminds me of Harry’s genius when he won over Honey Barbara. Respect, Turf.

Any danger of a larger version of the Pelican, TLA ?

    • chaingedaile says:

funnily enough, the link to that story ammended the headline to ‘us cops question pinjarrah man’ … maybe the ‘probing’ question was ‘how many fingers am i holding up?’

  4. Onanist says:

Can there be anything more infuriating than a nanny state that maintains piss poor icons only to remove their iconic function?

  5. Rolly says:

Colon is so-o-o representative of Cottesloe: Much better to have a water pipe that takes the best part of a year for the water to get to the other end than for the yobbos to continue the pranks that generations of kids have indulged in. Fuckwit!

Shades of “Kingswood Country” with the Stn Wgns.

The average mentality of the “youthful” visitors to Scarborough Beach is still stuggling to raise itself above “cretin”, irrespective of chronological age.

Shit! I hate people at times.

  6. Turf says:

Well spotted Shazza, Willagee it is.
I lived in Thornlie for 6 months, all they swap out there are prison romance stories. They usually have matching shopping trolleys out the front of their hovels.

  7. If there had been a shot of both wives, wearing Summer dresses bending over the hot donks, refilling the wiper fluid reservoirs, I would be able to declare aTWOP classic print.

  8. Frank Calabrese says:

From Ray Burgess’ own Youtube Channel here is his group Redtime performing at Bheethoven’s Night Club in 1971 taken from a special produced by ABC TV in Perth.

  9. Slanderer says:

I can’t believe that is Perth. Far too many people are dancing.

  10. Turf says:

    Nice one Snuff.
Just for the record Onanist I had my wagon first, his is standard, mine is a Lumina.
I’ll see what I can do Aussie, get the women in matching dresses too, real short.
I think the neighbour’s donk is hotter than his missus though.

  11. Ljuke says:

The commodore photo reminds me of the suburb from Edward Scissorhands a bit. Like an Australian version.

  12. Gemfyre says:

Wow, the Scabs ampitheatre looks downright tidy compared to how it was last week when we had that sudden really hot day. The bins were overflowing and there were empty bottles and various other crap all over the place, not to mention a bunch of unsavouries swearing loudly into their mobile phones.

So much for the policing the public drinking and unruly behaviour. We were just glad there was SOMEWHERE in Perth where we could get ice cream after 10pm on a Saturday.

  13. poor lisa says:

You can get a golden gaytime at any servo any time of day or night can’t you? The caltex at the corner of beaufort & bulwer is far more picturesque and has fewer drunk people than scabs.
