Perks: “Prior to studying Commerce, I pursued my passion for theatre and singing, by completing the Certificate of Musical Theatre at the WA Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA). I continue to perform in community theatre throughout Perth, with my most recent show performed at the Chrissie Parrott Arts Centre in Maylands being nominated for seven community theatre awards. I love the teamwork that goes into the development of theatre and I appreciate its ability to provide social commentary on the important issues of the day.”

There’s another billboard around—can’t remember if it’s on Teh Arrondissement, but it’s somewhere where the boundaries for the electorates of Maylands and Mt Lawley interface…that’s right, Walter Road near Grand Prom—that features both the current member for the latter, Michael Sutherland, and the candidate for the former, Amanda Madden. And boy, what a pair of prize fops: he looks like a craggy, cut-price version of Lord Downer (Couldn’t quite imagine him wearing fishnets and if he did, strewth!), whereas she looks, in that photo, almost like a female answer to Austin Powers with the glasses she wore on that other image and slightly crooked teeth (she’d be the Goldmember Who Shagged The Worker Sideways).
I’ll see if I can get a picture later today and post. But no cutesies between Craggy Lord Downer and Pastor Britza, though you do see Sutherland posters within the Morley electorate.
