End of the beginning of a never ending end of an era

It was almost a relief that Jane Z assured me that the Red Castle garage sale had nothing if value. I would have been right royally pissed off if I had missed a Tudor bed ( as in ” her ladyship’s Tudor bed?” – No the dog done that. ) although I could have found a spot for the broken sword in the stone in the garden. When will the long death of this beloved building end. The Guildford will be restored before the demo.

Superb: I’m weeping at the artistic humanity of the whole farrago.

I’m really sorry the pictures are so bad. We probably weren’t even supposed to be in there, as my uncharacteristically rule-abiding five year old kept anxiously reminding me as she checked for exits.

Seems to be some artistic licence taken with the reproduction of the building on the carpet. Top half looks reasonably accurate, but the bottom half doesn’t look quite right.

The ceiling treatment in photo 3 is pure 1973 although its not the sort of thing you want to stare at after smoking a nine paper joint.

This place is a masterpiece. Closest thing in the HRV is the Friar Tuck Inn in Catskill, NY, which is now closed and possibly condemned or at least should be. Rumor has it an Asian investor has bought the place and plans to reopen but until then the Tripadvisor reviews are hilarious.
