      I had the extraordinary experience of a Caravan actually pulling over to let traffic past when down there. What next a motorcyclist obeying the speed limit?

        Haave you taken notice of how few opportunities there are to actually pull over?
        The roads Northwards are even worse, they tell me.

            Not the people that I know.
            There are, on the other hand, those car drivers who take so long to decide to overtake on a safe stretch of road that they end up on the wrong side of the centreline well into the danger zones at the crests of hills and on blind corners, and try to force their way back regardless of the traffic that they are unsuccessfully passing.
            But then you have the other nitwits who take a great joy in accelerating when they know that someone is into the overtaking manoeuvre and might just get in front of them: We can’t have that happen, now can we ?!?
            Etc., so forth and so on.

We can handle the worst
