Kalamundasaurus – Terrible Lizard

Stirk Street Kalamunda. Auteured by Shaun. I’m wavering between “Whoa!” and “The fuck!”. Maybe a not worst is called for. Even though it is way baaaad. And yet…

Depends on the landscaping to follow. Potential for Not Worst, but it could swing full length either way.

Where’s Mez when we need him?

    The fuck?

To be truly Kalamunda, shouldn’t it be flat in the middle?

Reconstituted road kill, you now have to search far and wide to find an example of this once endemic species. We are winning the war on bush junk.

    is it a skink?

if so, it is of course Not Worst, although there is a strong argument that anything in Kalamunda is automatically Worst.

I want one for my front lawn

It most certainly is. They were everywhere when I was a kid, and we kept plenty in the old chookpen as pets, They were said to have a lockjaw which is not technically true, but as my brother, who had one hanging off his arm for two days can attest, when they bite they don’t let go until they’re good and ready. I’m conflicted. This is demonstrably worst, and yet …

then I definitely want one. a bigger one. why aren’t they everywhere?
These should have been placed in King’s Park instead of those lame dinosaurs and megawombats

This is missing the tell tale infestation of ticks.

Had a little one with the ‘flu, and I got 57 ticks off of it, leaving some I could see deep in its ears.

Having said that, I think it’s well cool the way the mothers just grow the babies more or less under their armpits…

This site is being developed with apparently ‘exclusive’ apartments, beautifully designed and appointed, overlooking Stirk Park. So, the builder goes and puts this horror outside? Unbelievable. It’s just sooooo bad!!! So bad.

    • rammed earth finally makes it to Kala. I’m not sure what the bobtail has to do with the School/principal theme.Although Anthony Wyndham did bring one to show and tell at mary’s Mount where it bit him and shat on his shoe.

        Gawd Almighty!
What is going on in peoples’ minds to even imagineer ( note to self – copyright that word immediately ) such a bland and uninspiring external appearance and then, with a total lack of grace, want to plonk it the middle of an area that has for years been trying to preserve a bit of historical ambience.
I’d be ashamed to live there.
( I didn’t even bother to look beyond that characterless exterior.)

You may find, Rolly, that Walt Disney and his Imagineering team pre empted you in coinage of that word… Still a good one, though.
