After recent criticism that TWOP was lacking vibrancy, Deefock Cohen claimed it would be better if all of his offerings were posted. Here’s latest. Chair next to bin… I’m not saying it needs padding (wot fuck?) maybe there’s some subtlety I’m missing only seeing it on the phone, but let me add a bonus from Mark H of a Mandurah House.

Folding yellow chair
Carnival reminiscent
Put it in the bin

Ah, I’ve looked at the closeup. The chair has Usher written on it. Fall of the chair of usher.

And not The Tell-Tale Folding Chair. How disappointing.

In my day the usher had to stand. Even so, if I were given that chair by my employer, I’d be straight on to OHS.

I like the house. Wide verandahs, 2, possibly 3 garages, and a registered lawn. Not worst.

I love the staircase up to the deep verandahs. It’s a great house.

You like me, you really like me. I’ve been here on and off but just didn’t feel like I had anything to pick up the phone to say!
Now where is the commentary on
1. That fucking tosser bono and the video screen that people think is something other than a video screen because it’s on a giant fucking claw.
2. The half built Oswal mansion. Hopefully going to be a vine-clad monkey-infested future worst.

OT, but page 11 of this week’s Perth Voice is worthwhile: “Get streetwise urges conservative poster boy.”
Cory Bernardi, SA Lib senator, has visited Perth recently tell us how he wants the burqua banned (“referring to it as ‘Mohammed’s Snuggie'”); a No Che Day “which celebrates the death of mass murderer Che Guevara” (sounds a bit familiar somehow); and, best of all, Human Achievement Hour, “where participants turned on all their technology to counter the Left’s ‘sitting in the dark’ for Earth Hour.”
“We have programs designed to infuriate the Left,” says Bernardi, whose conservative activist website can be accessed here.

Thanks. Now I know where to go when I’ve run out of Ipecac.

Hasn’t Bernardi got better things to do, like make shitloads of dough through importing stuff made with forced labour and go on fact-finding tours first class on the public purse?
Ergo, what is the role of the backbencher? Actually, just realised he’s a shadow parliamentary secretary, but he’s just as irrelevant. What a young fogey.

I didn’t know we had so many Tea Party wingnuts in Australia.
I had no idea that Sharia Law was the cause of climate change. Must be all those black burkas absorbing solar radiation.

They’re everywhere. Well in Victoria and WA at least.
It wasn’t just a third-term government and ineptitude that just barely tipped Labor out of Victoria, y’know…all those CUBs and NaBs (New-age bogans, for those who don’t frequent Things Bogans Like) will swallow up all their convenient half-and non-truths, as it validates their unsustainable lifestyles.

So Bernardi didn’t get the No Che idea off TWOP then?

Surely he did.

thanks for the photo of the house, i’ve admired its ugliness for years.

I’m not convinced by the Mandurah house but I like the idea of the book. I nominate “Roma” on Canning Highway, it’s uglerrific.

when i was young i knew that christmas was fast approaching when an inflatable santa would be lashed to the rooftop balustrade of ‘roma’.

Either I remember that too or it is just such a perfect image that I think I do, and will forever.
I just googled Roma; it’s on South Perth’s heritage inventory. I have learned (1) it was an electrical substation until 1963, and (2) there is an architectural style called “Late Twentieth Century Immigrant’s Nostalgic”.

A beautiful euphemism for ‘Wog Palace’. I’ll be using L20CIN from now on. Thank you JaneZ.

Has the house further west on Canning Hwy with about a million statues ever been Worsted? I think it sold a while ago – are they still there?
LikeLike
You mean the ranger house with the charming black statuettes. Yes recently (when I say recently I mean the last time I braved the bridges) it sold. And though some had been removed some remained in situ. So the charm continues.
