Weekend Worstoff 103

Some signs people have sent me for the weekend. A bunny from Jane. They should have employed my 5yo who is tearing up the illustration scene over at his blog Zombie Cave. If you’ve got a lost shark, you’ll know where to go for the sign. One from Richarbl who found the most cliched ad for Asians. Ai Ya. And Outrage urges you to look at this one quickly so you might think it says Chonder. Err, simple pleasures I suppose. And Jules saw this sign in front of a Clarement Church. Why do religious types always try to delve into comedy? Jesus jockeying precludes a sense of humour. The answer is not Satan apparently. Thank youse. Worst well this weekend.

  10. Mez says:

    knock knock

Buff Jesus [opens door]: Oh, it’s you again

Mez: yeh, hi, sorry to bother you but it’s about the sign…

    BF: what? the burning bush?

M: No the one out the front. Is it meant to be funny?

    BF: …well… um… a couple of people laughed… kind of…

M: did you know that “Who’s your daddy?” is originally a sexual referance regarding Submission. When a man and a woman…. get together, it’s not uncommon for her to refer to him as “daddy”, she is basically being obedient to him and stroking the male’s dominant ego, because he knows subconsciously that she loves and obeys her father.
While it may be rooted in incestual urges of a select few partners, it is more or less acceptable to exchange… in private, of course. The term has been so heavily used that the family relationship meaning, if ever there was one, is lost and now daddy is synonymous with “baby” or other petnames, albeit more pillow-talk
When someone says “who’s your daddy?”, they are pretty much calling you their bitch. It’s commonly used among testosterone-driven males when competing.

    BF: …umm…

M: you didn’t know that when you put the sign up did you?

BF: well I know everything and anyway it wasn’t me it was Father… er… I mean… you know, the priest guy.

M: Did you know that it featured in this week’s Worstoff

BF: ………… ……………. oh, FucK Off will you! [slams door]

  11. Frank Calabrese says:

And El Caballao Rodeo is back on WTV – currently running a loop of stuff off the hard-drive.

  12. Frank Calabrese says:

And if you’re wondering why there have been several glitches in Transmission, here is the reson from the Tech people.

And its important that everyone understands that Telstra havent completed our station to transmitter link, so the Playbox system is at the secure transmitter site and I’m remote controlling it over the internet. Doing well considering…. just worried about the break in the middle of the movie. Hope the sync is here to stay !
