One of Each

Well I know I said there may be adult concepts, but never thought that children’s eyes would have to be shielded from licence plates. I’ve been holding coc and ass for 2 weeks while I chased a cnt. Great relief when I finally got one yesterday.

It gets even better when you realise there’s the possibility of there being a thousand (or 999) of each out there. A thousand “coc”s, “cnt”s and “ass”s… but doesn’t it feel like there are more “cnt”s on the streets of Perth than a thousand?

I once saw a car at some hot rod show with the number plate ASSH – 01. Took me a few seconds to get it.

    I wonder if they do a 1COK?

I remember when they first introduced these plates, the govt said they would vet them to ensure that no offensive letter combinations got through (I think 1ABO was a particular concern that was raised by the ever-altruistic Sunday Slimes).

Praise Jebus they seem to have abandoned that idea. I for one find my day improved immeasurably whenever I see an 1ASS, 1COC or 1CNT.

You should have waited until after 1FUK, LA. You’ve brought their mistake to their attention and they’re going to filter the thousand 1FUK’ers out of circulation before we get a chance to truly enjoy them.

It’s college humor, but some of the best laughs are.

1ASS… how could they have missed that one? Surely someone saw that coming. Maybe they decided to keep quiet about it until it was too late in order to share the laughs with the wider public.

Nice work. If I can find it I’ll send you a photo of my license plate from the states when I lived there in the mid 90s.
U-WANK, told the licensing people in New Hampshire that it stood for the University of WA, North Kambalda.

I saw a guy in a huge black luxury sedan with a vanity plate that simply said ‘PALESTINE’.

Creeped me out more than cnt or coc ever will. A friend of mine has ‘box’ though, kudos to him.

Not rude at all but my little Rolla GTi has the number plates GIVEWAY. I know there’s not many people out there in this country who respect 4 cylinders so I get laughed at a lot (usually by guys driving hotted up Falcons and Commodores) but I really don’t give a shit. My little Rolla rocks!

Yes, they do. When I bought a car a couple of years ago I was relieved that my numberplate lottery had a ‘normal’ result. The plates were in the Cs at the time and I joked to the dealer that I wouldn’t want something like 1COK. He laughed (I assume salesmen are trained to laugh at customers’ lame jokes) and assured me that those sort of combinations don’t get through the system. I didn’t think any more of it until a few months ago when I actually saw a car with 1COK. Sorry I don’t have photo evidence LA.

I have heard that the plates 1ABO ### and 1BMW ### were never made, if someone sees one post a picture I would like to be proved wrong. I wonder what other plate combinations that are due will never be made. My prediction is that we never see 1FAG ###.

A Falcon I saw in the North had the rego plate 1COK469.

In the early days of Victorian personalised plates (early 80’s) someone I knew owned a red MG with the plates RU 469.

And we’re only considering the English language here.
