If the function of graphic design is to get things noticed, then this is a crime of blandness.Is the proprietor’s lack of conviction regarding the promote-worthiness of their venture also echoed in the naming?
Not “THE Inter City Motel” nor even the grammatically correct, “An Inter City Motel” but the Strine-perfect “A Inter City Motel”.
And the plastic table, so you don’t see too much of the pool is nice too – ed. This is also very close to the location of Perth’s worst street as nominated by Alex. You are not helping A Intercity!
The Worst of Perth 
A real Inca style stinka. Fantastic on so many levels. We can only hope the pool is actually place where bad designers are sacrificed.

It used to be the “Inner City Motel” but got changed a couple of years back. I suspect because of complaints from unsuspecting out-of-towners finding that it wasn’t a mere stroll from the fleshpots of Northbridge but is, instead, out in the badlands towards the airport.
