it was the highlight of my day:
The Second Best Mayor in the World has been disqualified.
Maybe next year instead of entering the competition for Best Mayor she can enter the one for Bent Mayor.
actually, it was my second-favourite headline from yesterday, behind ‘Man burns to death at Burning Man.’

The Tribunal , having found Ms Lisa Michelle Scaffidi committed 45 serious breaches, orders pursuant to s 5.117(1)(a)(v) of the Local Government Act 1995 (WA) that:,1. Ms Lisa Michelle Scaffidi is disqualified from holding office as a member of a council for 18 months commencing at midnight on Thursday 7 September 2017.,2. The parties have liberty to apply as to costs.
The next Lord Mayoral election for the City of Perth is in October 2019.

The West don’t know what to do. She-Ra is a close friend of Kerry Stokes so they will have been told to try to spin it in her favour but the verdict has already been handed down, so they are limited to an editorial saying that she should be granted an appeal and a beat-up story about how other councillors are rallying round her.
