The Rats of Tobruk (on Oxford)

Nice for Anzac Day. A flattened Rat. Possibly an authentic Rat of  Tobruk on his way to two-up at the Oxford. The only time I can remember going into the old Oxford, (say early 1980s) there was an authentic Vietnam Vet mumbling into his beer there.

Just waiting for a New Zealander to call this one lazy and thieving. I always forget that the nz in ANZAC refers to New Zealanders. By Hutch.

Gotta love a city that requires 60 feet of armco around a suburban roundabout.

No VN Commodores in the front bar of the Oxford please. Parking at rear.

Lest we forget the “NZ” and find ourselves once again upon the shores of a battle weary Perth media debate about ANZAC Day replacing Australia Day

The first thing I thought was: “Mark McGowan after the next state election.” When I found out it was taken on ANZAC Day, it all started to make sense – I caught a glimpse of the Labor leader at the end of the dawn service … so impressed I was with the medals on his jacket that I missed checking out the Julie Bishop as she walked by. The Barnster was there too, but he didn’t have any medals – just the chin to pin them on.
