You know, I’ve always believed that that a good idea for a blog would be “upside down pictures of trees that look like genitals. What do you think? I realise Snuff is going to immediately link me to such a blog already in existence. BTW is there any poindexter type that could assist me in setting up a wordpress.org template on a hosted site and importing an existing blog (not this one) into it. It claimed to be easy installation, but it doesn’t work.

I’m not sure that will help. They’ll say it’s a wordpress thing. It says it installed, but the admin page doesn’t appear.

That you can’t do it means that the file structure is probably stuffed up in some way. Is the admin page in a directory under the main page , if so then the hosting site has set it up so you can’t install into sub directories.

No it’s in the main folder (where index page would be) I would actually prefer it in a subdirectory but haven’t tried) the hosting has an install wizard thing specifically for wordpress. The admin page the install gives returns a 404 not found. I’ll try the site help but don’t have much hope.

The facebook install might need to create subdirectories. An incorrect directory structure is the first thing to check.
