Directly across the road from the wagon chair. At least it doesn’t have a christian fish on it.

China is the Bamboo Curtain…those pinko Commies tried the Iron Curtain…there’s even the Cheddar Curtain in the USA.
Now we have the Brick Curtain. As Darth Vader says, “The circle is complete”.

From far away it looks like an array of upturned bottles of Schweppes Traditional Lemonade emptying into the carpark.

It DOES look like bottles emptying, you’re right.

It looks like the set of a really bad western. I keep expecting saloon girls to come dancing out. (or young white lesbians dressed as saloon girls)

I hope it brings in custom for them.
I don’t think I’ll be shopping there.

The worst thing about it is the misspelling. In the interests of consistency, the sign really should read “Betta Curtuns”.

I’m putting in a bid for that to be ‘not worst’. I love the brick painting. It’s been done with a lot of love and thought. Think what a boring, bland, ugly shopfront it’d be without the curtins.

That place used to be a Solomon’s Carpets. The paintjob it had back then was even worse. Wish I had a photo :/

A lovely gateway building for the City of Gosnells. Melville has the Raffles, Gosnells has ‘Betta Curtains’.

I’ve spent too much time trying to come up with a gravitar and haven’t anything sensible to say about this post. I was worried the pic was too obvious but if you’ve gone for a cracked pot BCF then I guess it’s ok.

If you untied the brick curtains would the whole building fall down?

I am stunned and appalled by my first look at the images on this blog. Some of this stuff would not look out of place along highways of ambitious American towns or dwindling American suburbs.

God i hate the look of this place, it offends my eyes daily as it’s just around the corner from my house! Are you stalking me LA? that’s 2 near my house in a short time frame.
It’s in decent need of a new paint job, and perhaps some rendering of bricks? That big red brick wall is sooo fugly!
