– But the sewers ran on time…

Worst Disguised Stink Pipe

Perth residents will all know this mighty erection on Lincoln Street Highgate, however not everyone knows that it is a sewer vent. It was built in 1941, and the design makes it clear that we were expecting a successful invasion from Mussolini later that year. This giant vent is a few moments away from Perth Glory’s home ground, and may be a contributing factor to why they stink at the moment.

How is this a TWOP?? I ride past this thing every day on the way to work, and smile every time. And it’s super handy as a navigational beacon for non-locals.
