Beaufort Street 2

I went to have a close look at the Beaufort Stre artwork this afternoon. Although it isn’t finished, unfortunately it is a lot crappier than it first appeared. It’s concrete for a start, and is essentially a concrete wall in front of a car park. I guess Alannah won’t be unveiling a concrete wall. Is the spot better or worse for it being there? Maybe a slight deficit to the community, until concrete cancer lends it a little street cred.

    I thought it was Cor-ten steel when I saw the first picture, which I personally think would have been pretty cool.
