Weekend Worstoff 3

Looks Asian. In the tradition of picks from the West personals, how about “Looks Asian”? This means what? All the efficiency of a German with the looks of an Japanese? Come to think of it…

The Worst of New Zealand. Weekend Worstoff gives me the perfect chance to show my best Worst of New Zealand pic. A clown operator scratching his nurries. That’s got to be worst. The green clown looks a little worried.

Under The Kilt. We were talking last week about Max Kay’s kilt. Here’s a picture of my friend and former colleague Ivan showing how it should be done. He really hated perth, and is wearing a kilt, so that easily earns him a place on TWOP. He’s in London, so he can’t get me. Send him your greetings. Cheers Martin Maule for the pic. And thanks Ivan.

Vermin. A nice Worst is this list of health violation convictions. Restaurants with vermin etc. Don’t say anything defammatory in the comments please. Reminds me of friends who were always reccommending a Chinese restaurant which was convicted later of selling horse meat. We always said they should order the daily double. Link

From The Search List. Search terms people put into google that ended up at The Worst of Perth this week.

Noni Hazlehurst naked. (several times) – pictures of mastectomy sculptures – drunk – dark tinted curtain wall – asian sex perth – max pam – perth sluts – sluts in Scarborough (again) – wagyl.

From the Television AU mailing list, this gem of a bit of Worst Perth TV history to the world.

    [What’s On (April 29-May 5):
HSV7 presents a 90-minute special Bob Hope In Australia, a variety special taped before an audience of 8000 at Perth’s Entertainment Centre on his recent Australian tour. Also featured in the program are Barbara Eden, Florence Henderson, Kamahl and The Four Kinsmen. The program, produced by Perth’s TVW7, is screened around Australia on the Seven Network and in the United States through NBC.]

For those seeking Noni Hazlehurst naked, may I suggest a viewing of the 1986 film Australian Dream. Which was actually quite funny in places as well.

RE: Looks Asian. It’s all about the misplaced missing comma. So it’s meant to be read as “model looks, Asian…” not “model, looks Asian…”. Reminds me of that old joke about the Aussie panda that eats, roots and leaves.

The “Moet CBD super deluxe blonde” ad is also intriguing. 9am-2pm hours! Champagne brunch anyone?

RE: “The green clown looks a little worried.” Yes he does, but I think it’s the blue clown who would be really worried!

I’m pretty sure she was also sans clothing in the Perth made flick Fran as well.

Gee without LA the quality of discourse really dips around here.
It’s only a matter of time before someone expresses their wish to sniff her chair.

Frank what year was that TV special? and how did I miss Florence Henderson, Kamahl AND Barbara Eden all being in town at the same time?? or was it via satellite?

I have to ask – what the hell is “adulterated food”??? Is it food prepared by a guy who is banging the till girl behind his wife’s back? And if so, why would I care about eating it? He did wash his hands afterwards right?

This makes my Max Kay gravatar all the more ingratiating. Kilts ahoy!

Also, part of me wishes I didn’t download that list of health violations. One of those restaurants- the one with probably the most violations, actually- is where we used to go for our weekly yum cha fix.

I really think that when it comes to food, what you don’t know often doesn’t hurt you… if it did, there wouldn’t be any yum cha…. sometimes you just get unlucky….

Frank, now I’m wondering where Florence Henderson, Kamahl and Barbara Eden stayed when they were in town. This is blowing my mind Frank.

Speaking of Indian, and because I’m too slack to go to the other topic, how did everyone enjoy Paul Murray Goes To India (courtesy of the Fertilizer Billionaires). What a pot of toss.

From memory, I think either the Parmelia Hilton, or the Sheraton Hotel, which were the 2 main hotels of choice in Perth in 1979 – Burswood was a mere old Rubbish tip at the time :-)

LA: Replace with Maya Indian in Fremantle. Completely different deal, different owners and a lot fancier, but the best Indian in Perth for sure. Although it is south of Perth, which I realise you may have issues with. It’s OK, I’m sure you’ll find an equal share of hideousness down here as you do in Morley and Belmont.

Poor Lisa: Ah, good point. See: current yum cha haunt (Welcome Inn Tea House). Ignorance is bliss, after all.

Maybe its for people who are fans of movies like the old King and I, The Good Earth – you know when they got caucasians to “look Asian” because back then Asians were considered good enough to take the lead role.
I wonder then if the “looks Asian” chick is a white person pretending to be a white person pretending to be an Asian person… the mind boggles.
