Worst House/Architecture/Letterbox
When Worst of Perth hears the words “Housing Crisis” we don’t think in terms of shortage, we think in terms of… well this! This awful house in Sandalwood Avenue Woodlands is actually for sale. We assume a wrecking ball will go through soon after the contract. It’s a nice detail that the curtains are torn too. That’s the sort of touch that can add thousands to the sale price.

It has a letterbox of equal design quality.

I have just looked in a numerology book for the hidden meaning of your house number.
Here’s what it says about number 11.
” People living at this number often keep late hours or find themselves involved in work that keeps them up late … it is a number that will often show trouble with the opposite sex”
Could we have a new contender for Perth’s Worst Brothel?
“There is a tendency to moods at this number and people living at this address could have bother with their stomachs….”
There could be more to this numerology caper than meets the eye because I have rarely seen a more depressing and stomach turning residence.
“… a number for trials and tests…”
Nuclear tests presumably!
“It is never advisable to spend too much time on your own living at this address.”

And Nostrodamus says,

How did they get the horses and cattle up the stairs?

I keep trying to make an anagram out of the number 11 but can only do a palindrome.

The letterbox scrolls up the screen in such a menacing manner! First it peers out of its dark slot then the jagged mouth appears then the truncated arm and …. aperture? It looks like an early model cyberman.
Lazza, the house itself reminds me scarily of the one across the road from Mazenod we used to visit.

Oh, I think I know the one you mean! Hadn’t thought of that place for a long time. Is it still there. Have to go down that road again. There will be a gigabyte of material up there.

I agree, this building has some merit. Like the jaunty way its roof tips off to the right, like the cap of a dirty workman.
Then theres that underover area below. A more welcoming forecourt/entertaining area is hard to imagine. Also the charming rustic gate.
These places usually have a name written on a wall. Bleak Court?

I like this house/box – very bauhaus – needs a render, landscaping and some love’n and it could look pretty slick BUT the Lbox definately goes.
