library police

But wouldn’t they be targeting books that have been shelved with the spine in? From Sargent Shriver.

Are there that many books about shelving?

I wonder if they’ll widen the scope to books about side tables and china hutches.

I always thought the library police were a spineless bunch anyway – don’t think I’ve seen anyone getting a fine (or being booked, tee hee) for hogging the newspaper for too long. Having said that, I don’t think books should neccessarily be shelved just because their spines face out – sounds kind of bookist to me.
