Democracy

Went down to Bayswater council to listen to Crackpots Against Meltham changing in any way. EVER! Couldn’t get a seat! From what I could hear from outside, it was a long series of questions along the lines of, “Is The Council aware..?” To which the council replied, “Yes, we are aware of that. We are required by law to be aware of that. It was also outlined in our ‘yes we are aware of that’ brochure we released last year. Along with our ‘we knew that – it’s the same question you asked last time” newsletter and our media release of “What exactly is the question?”board game. Also, Lounge Bar? I rattled that knob from arsehole to breakfast. Nothing. I pay my rates you cunts! ONE DOES NOT SIMPLY LOCK A LOUNGE BAR TO AN HONEST RATEPAYER! You can shove your Pablo and tap water up your arses.

    Not 6 storeys — 12 !

Then DAP will give at least 8 , depending .

Very auspicious number ! Sale of top floor alone will pay for whole building ! Happy !

    Drink up councillors !

Attended a council meeting? Be careful it is a short step from there to collecting plastic bags and shouting at pigeons.

You should do what they do in Cottesloe, get your QC … hang on you probably are a QC, to send a series of threatening letters to everyone and then make your displeasure known to your local member, Emperor Barney, when you see him at Leeuwin. Well maybe not this year if he doesn’t get a free driver.

Very effective at stopping any form of development. Thirty years and counting.

many locals were not totally against it, but would want some modifications but were drowned out by the Hotham St crew who apparently (and noisily) represent all local residents…

Hey am I missing something here? What exactly are we protecting from development? Did Baysie become the new Guildford when I looked away for a few moments?

With perth ‘ architects ‘ and perth developers , and the clientele attracted by both under the liblab govt ‘ planning ‘ regime … well , a metal scrap yard is often a more attractive option to redevelopment .

To its credit JDAP just knocked back replacing a single storey IGA in Carlisle with a single storey mosaic of USA – franchised fast food and convenience shops .

Sort of an activity centre without bigbox retail and a commuter rail within … what is it this week ? 800 m ?

A 1/4km of white red and green striped alpolic would have hurrt the eyyes but !

Should have gone for the 12 storey mixed use residential DA option if JDAP approval was desired .

So close via uber to university train and international airport ! But maybe get only 6 storeys here …
