Outrage Sunday 277 lying fascist pigs

Goodness me! This very frank assessment was seen at north Cottesloe. The bloke didn’t have the chutzpah – the kahunas, if you will – to have his face in the photo. img_5159This is much more soothing and dignified. There is smart casual, but then there is just smart. img_5158Gotta dash: my gerbalism is taking me to a location so secret I can’t even put it into Google Maps. img_5199

That tie is nice. Anyone who hasn’t already been made redundant can wear it to the funeral.

While I very much admire the use of a full stop on the t-shirt, so few shirts punctuate at all, it strikes me this could have been better written. After condemning all politicians, a global statement, the addition of WA media seems parochial and weakens the impact.

One solution is to make it more slogan-like: ‘Politicians and media: lying fascist pigs’. However, this distorts the original claim, since no attack on the SMH was originally implied.

Perhaps ‘WA politicians and media are lying fascist pigs’ is better, since the WA will carry over to the media, but suffers from narrowing down the number of politicians accused.

Ultimately, this really should be two t-shirts. If you run into him again, could you let him know I said so?

Not the sort of tie I would’ve expected from Stokes. I’d have hoped for something with a lighthouse girl giant puppet design followed by an editorial on how the economics of collecting obscure ww1 memorabilia can make us all rich. Some of us anyway.

WAN is pre-Stokes when it was profitable, threw off mountains of cash that got paid out in dividends and traded at about six bucks. Also known as the good old days.

Yes. But, exqueeze me? Didn’t it get to $12 or $13?
In the GOD, reporters used to buy a million and then pay them off with the dividends. They couldn’t lose.

If it did get to those prices it was a long time ago. The div yield on the thing was amazing. Typically companies in this situation go and do something stupid like Fauxfacts and buy another business for a couple of billion or so. WAN never made that mistake. Then Stokes comes along, dumps a couple of his over-geared businesses into the thing, screws the minority shareholders and kills the golden goose.
