    PMH pioneered the concept of a bat-pole nature play installation for the kids, however testicular splinters soon put Patch Adam’s project on hold.

    I often wonder what that architectural style is called. Not Brutalist, not Meisian, not High-Tech, not Moderne – but beloved of suburban office parks the world over.

    I think Soulsuckingshitboxofsatan wouldn’t be far off the mark, but probably a little long for the realtor’s brochure.

      It’s a children’s hospital, soon to be decommissioned I think. Not sure if to be exploded/demolished. The Cocos will survive.
      What’s the worst public plant in NY? The Cocos is the go to tree for idiots here.

        I don’t know that we have one per se. The water chestnut is a concern in the Hudson River itself as it is an introduced species that blankets native wetlands and is a hazard to boats, but it’s not visually offensive. The real trouble comes from blights that damage native forests.

        Ailanthus aka ‘ tree of heaven ‘ . Originally endemic to China .

        Weed tree said to have ‘ escaped ‘ from exotics in Central Park in the 1800 s that were planted with the intent of evoking the appearance of a tropical landscape .

        When ‘ A Tree Grows In Brooklyn ‘ it is likely the ailanthus . It will grow anywhere from seed .

        Incredibly suggestive stench while in flower during the hot humid months ; I won’t describe it .
