You know reporters are reluctant to push their stories, and they hate talking about themselves. But here’s the scene from the zone of death at 56 The Esplanade in the Grove on Tuesday morning, as featured in Teh POST. People were outraged after Dickies Tree Services had done the job at Nigel and Denise Satterley’s home, Chirrita (which they bought two years ago for $17.5 million). The house was built for John Septimus Roe’s son. I called and texted Mr Satterley several times, but no reply. Perhaps some yuccas and pencil pines are going in next?

Perhaps the Satterleys are going to embrace the ‘style du jour’ of so many city councils and go with the post apocalyptic front garden.
Couple of rusting car bodies, broken dry fountain, piles of dead leaves and maybe a rotting animal carcass. Skeletal remains of a dead Cocos Palm would be a wonderful touch.

Raze Outdoors….I like it. Satterley could get a govt stipend for hiring a mature age long term unemployed person. As I understand it there are still a couple of former Nazi panzer grenadiers hiding out in the eastern states…they could show the true meaning of raze (ing) the outdoors.

Norfolk giants take root at new beachside estate

STANDING at up to 18.5m, several tall trees are taking root in a Jindalee estate where land sales are expected to start later this month.
Delivering the first of six Norfolk Island pines last week required a police escort, a 100-tonne crane, six workmen and a semi-trailer so they could be planted at the Eden Beach estate.
The trees, whose branches span about seven metres, are part of a $2 million landscaping package, and Satterley Property Group chief executive Nigel Satterley said they had been rescued from the gardens of houses to be demolished.
“These are fully mature trees, each worth up to $36,000, and their height and beauty will immediately set the character for our newest beachside estate,” Mr Satterley said.
“Cottesloe’s pine trees are iconic and boating enthusiasts and fishermen can immediately spot them from the sea.
“Eden Beach will be the same, with these beautiful trees visible throughout the neighbourhood and from the water.”
Mr Satterley said his company had been developing beachside land for more than 30 years, so they were using that experience to create a relaxed, fun community in the estate.
