Too much vibrancy

Vibrancy, eh? Get too much you get too high. Not enough you’re gonna die. Too late to sample Hello Hollywood in Westminster. Vibrancy cancelled. Lights out. No Elvis or magician. By Matt in Landsdale. I love the cocos and the brutally empty car park. By the way, Matt claims Lansdale as the cultural home of the cocos and retaining wall combo. Throwing that challenge out there.

South Balga, right? Surely someone from the small bar scene has organised slumming tours there; where the well-heeled can get their ghetto thrills of a Thursday night. I went to the Classroom by accident one evening, so i know what i’m talking about.

I see the Classroom crowd have another venture on the go: next to the Sri Devi Curry House in teh Northbridge. Jack Sue’s? Jack Tan’s?

Interestingly (well not really), Landsdale is home to Landsdale Plants who would have moved more than their fair share of cocii over the years. Perhaps when ECU have solved the car v house problem they can begin the genetic sequencing of Perth cocii to confirm this theory?

Businesses come and go, yet empty car parks would seem to endure.

The overall dullness of the photo – underexposed, lacking in contrast (=vibrancy) and wholely devoid of action and/or movement – seems definitive of the mental activity of the majority of you Metrocentric Twats (© [wheneveritwas] Rolly).
    Coffee snobbery notwithstanding.

There is actually potential there for a really good photo, I’m might head out there and do it properly. Or is there still a good chance of getting mugged in Westminster?

My photograph is of dubious quality, no doubt. Terrible phone camera + overcast + cropping/zooming. I did feel at the time that the overall dullness befitted the bleakness of the scene. Next time, however, I’ll be sure to take my SLR and light meter as I drive into Perth’s many hearts of darkness.
