Or do I?

Enigmatic piece from The Whinging Pom. Is it meta graffiti, or is it a statement regarding what things he graffs? Easier to get to a palm frond or railing than trying to catch and tag flange.  But someone who graffs is probably not likely to get near “flange one” anyhow, so perhaps that statement is moot. Wait, there’s an apostrophe! That takes it up a notch. At least we can rule out Mike Hussey as culprit. Ferndale.

FuturePerthers alert. They are in Teh West today bleating about a new group of Nimbys who are trying to block the foreshore development.

I think you might start a new Irrational Hatred about Richard Weller. I’m not sure if it’s the hair, the waistcoat, or the fact he always carries a copy of his book around with him in case he’s going to be photographed.

Is he the Andre Rieu of town planning?

still no suggestion as to what they might do with the traffic from Riverside Drive

I don’t think that these guys can simply be dismissed as Nimbys.

The idea that painting another lane through the Polly Pipe that simply dumps traffic onto the Mitchell carpark at one end and the Great Eastern goat track / Orrong carpark at the other is laughable. Traffic flow through the Perth CBD is already a joke. One of the few joys of motorcycling in Perth is lane splitting through about a kilometer of gridlocked traffic on Riverside Drive and Milligan Street every day to get home. Having various roads being dug up for the last decade hasn’t helped either – but this doesn’t look like changing.

Like the football statium, this looks like another yet decision handed down from on high from the one man court of Emperor Barnett.

How did the Esplanade become heritage listed? Outstanding use of kikuyu in covering a large, flat, featureless expanse of under-utilised public land?

If you learn nothing else from living in WA – sometimes the only thing worse than no development is letting them actually build something.

Make that “…usually….” and I’ll go along with you.
