Gaahh! I hate the cow parade. It strikes me as the very antithesis of art – taking an existing corporate branding idea, removing it from any context, and replicating it in every ‘bohemian’ burg in the fucking world.

It is not art but, they (the cow sculptures) are. The prefab casts were given to a variety of people (some of who are artists) with a request that they trick them up for public display (no, not art yet). The participants address the cow casts in their studio spaces (art has not necessarily happened yet). The cast cow sculptures are put into paddocks in the Maggot Creek region. People stop to look at them – now they are art.
