And Chong On

Well I’m upper upper class high society
God’s gift to ballroom notoriety
And I always fill my ballroom
The event is never small
The social pages say I’ve got
The biggest balls of all…
AC/DC Big Balls

With the original Patti Chong post within a few hundred views of being the most popular ever, (just behind the Worst of the West Australian) with nearly 4000 views and about 400 comments, I thought you’d like this. There is also a TV ad to match. Merrys has featured on TWOP before, you may remember. I don’t quite see the interest in La Chong myself, but let the stats roll on as Chong fans pile on.

The new laws going through Parliament now don’t go far enough. Anyone who assaults a policeman while he is performing his duty should be locked up for life. Throw away the key no matter what the circumstances. There should be no discretion whatsoever. Anyone who does it should be charged and found guilty before even going before a judge or jury. They then should be locked up for life with no parole. It’s the only way to keep our Police safe.

              You too, Bento?

I think there’s a strengthening trend of allergies to alcoholic drinks. I know a lot of additives are in booze, which is why I drink German beer.

On Rottnest I’d have four bottles of red a night – and the next morning I’d feel terrible: pounding head, dry tongue, glassy eyes. An allergy I tell you.

All caused by Preservative 220 :-)

                220
E220 Sulphur dioxide Preservative. Occurs naturally in the atmosphere and as a pollutant gas from combustion processes, sulphur dioxide is implicated in formation of acid rain and has a choking odour. Derived from coal tar; all sulphur drugs are toxic and restricted in use (in USA, FDA** prohibits their use on raw fruits and vegetables), produced by combustion of sulphur, hydrogen sulphide or gypsum; known to provoke gastric irritation, nausea, diarrhoea, skin rash, asthma attacks and difficult to metabolise for those with impaired kidney function, also destroys vitamin B1 (thiamin), and should be avoided by anyone suffering from conjunctivitis, bronchitis, emphysema, bronchial asthma, or cardiovascular disease. Typical products are beer, soft drinks, dried fruit, juices, cordials, wine, vinegar, potato products. Similar functional properties are displayed by the sulphites (E221-E227). Other names: sulphur superoxide.

A classic example of the “advertorial”, Frank :D

Outrage must be proud of you.

I, too, will call around the next time I’m out in that neck of the woods.

I can’t get near the net these Thursdays until after hours, and so when I logged on I similarly thought, “Oh, the thread about that woman whom the more I read about her the less inclined I am to ever find out who she is has gone off again.”

I’d rather read about Frank’s family’s grog any day, plus I get to show the best ever Serbian breathalyser fail.

Patti has “pulling power”, and is a gay icon. Two things I didn’t know about her.
I also note that she “likes a level playing field” yet has no issue with jumping queues by utilising her notoriety. Same sort of thing Kizon would do isn’t it?

      Is this advertorial?

oh Lordy, she’s still pitching to be a judge. I would have thought that her comments about the treatment of her former husband by the CCC would have queered that for her, not to mention the furniture ads and the relentless self-promotion. ‘I’ve got the qualifications and all the characteristics necessary to be a judge.’ Are modesty and discretion necessary character traits for a judge? Is being the laughing stock of your profession a hindrance? I note that she didn’t answer whether she had ambitions to elected office. Small mercies.

and I’ve been to that restaurant. It’s distinctly underwhelming.
