A great find from Bento in the Borders “bargain” bin. Wouldn’t you just pulp a book that had missing text? Are you saying good riddance to the text Bento? Twighlight is a kiddies vampire book. The missing text included the following. Beaver damming, cork soaking, hat ratting, belt sanding, slow boating, chum bucketing, acid leaching, blue holeing swine flueing…You know the rest.

Bento also took a shot of an important vanished worst. The Jade House knock shop on William Street is apparently gone. You can see some of its sordid glory here. “Yes we have no orientals.”

This one at 395 William street has been converted to an asian supermarket ( i remember when i worked at City Fresh next door when i was 19 and was made by my boss to go into the brothels to get change for the till off the madams LOL). Anyone have any pics lying around of either Jade House (the white brothel over the road from 395), or Aphrodite’s? Id love to see the interiors of these places, although there is a website full of pictures of the girls and interiors of 395 william street ( Pennefeather- interiors of Aphrodite’s 1989 Perth google it!!) shocking shocking bad wall paper in the lounge area!! Come on guys, get your pics in.

And what an irony. Across the road from the Asian supermarket, is the derelict “asian” brothel, the Jade House. These Asians are playing with our sexuality! How could it close when it was so convenient to the bus stop? It is now boarded up, but says “private property, police will be called.” I don’t think so. The place was invisible as far as the police were concerned.

Guest: Kahuna. Area: Town of Cambridge. In further correspondence, Kahuna goes on to condemn virtually the whole Town of Cambridge and the council. But I want to know, why you would change “The Boulevard” to “Veryward Terrace”? Kahuna says…

Here’s a nic pic of a stunning beauty in Veryward Terrace (formerly The Boulevard) Wembley. Notice the magnificent architectual detail to enhance the streetscape and the use of building materials in a design which responds to Perth’s weather conditions to keep the house pleasantly cool in summer and wonderfully warm in winter. To top it off extensive landscaping has been done to contribute to the sense of place. It’s amazing what you can build on a 255 sqm block. Even more amazing is that the Town of Cambridge approved this shocker and that it was built in only the past 12 months. So much for good building design and environmental awareness. This will hopefully be the first of a number of contributions around the Town of Cambridge where there are many worthy worst of Perth nominations.

At the risk of search engines pouring thousands more brothel searches TWOP’s way, (you should see the stats page), here is another building that comes under the Town of Cambridge’s control. Another ugly brothel, although they do have a reasonable, er, stab at a swan logo, which, as we have discussed before can be problematic for many Perth designers.

Worst Brothel (architecture that is). Minor adult satire warning.

Since a post on The Worst Brothel Conversion, search engines have been directing a torrent of search results for “Perth Brothel, Brothels in Perth…etc, etc, etc” to Worst of Perth. So much so that Worst of Perth is well inside the top ten google results for Perth brothels – well ahead of many legitimate knock shop links! Fortunately for you pathetic devils, Worst of Perth is in a position to help, whilst also providing a standard irony service to it’s usual punters. Here is an incredibly ugly brothel on Beauford Street Inglewood. Could it look more depressing? The light isn’t even red! If you can’t find this one, you are never going to get any.

Worst of Perth wants to make it clear that it has never had to pay for it.

Worst Brothel Conversion

Long time Perth residents will remember this building on the corner of Guilford and Garrett road Bayswater as one of Perth’s most famous brothels, The Happy Haven . Obviously some of us will remember the inside, others just the outside, but it was always a dismal and dispiriting looking place, certainly neither happy, nor haven like. How surprising then that it should look more depressing after being converted to a hire car joint.

Please note: The cars have a strict no kissing policy.
