We were thrilled to see a Dunlopillo: could it have been the very mattress Robert Drewe’s father presented to him at the end of the uproar and confusion in The Shark Net?* Our literary and heritage overlords should’ve taken it away for preservation. I ordered the dogs to pull the King Koil queen from under the sensational pile so I could better photograph it, but they cocked their legs. More urine.

*The greatest WA book ever, despite being written by a Victorian.

Back to a sort of more traditional worst, the rotunda thing at The Sandringham Hotel in Belmont, which EV saw was set to be demolished. I seem to remember videoing some obscenity like an Italian engagement or similar that culminated on top here in the 80s. No doubt the Cocos will still be extant long after the limestone is gone.

I’ve just about had enough of The Guildford Hotel. In the light of some more ineffectual protesting highlighted by Outrage Cohen, (the socks being another pathetic example), let me throw my weight behind the demolition option, so Guildfordwegians can have closure and can start to suck up the hangi based humiliation of having to patronise The ‘Ling down the road. Reclaim the night. No-one went to Le Gill when it wasn’t burnt anyway. No skimpies, no hangis, no nothing, why should they? Time for a Liqorland, preferably built out of light brown brick or, failing that, a place where concrete swan planters and old hand tools can be sold in the ruins without need of a roof.

EG saw this vanishing worst, but I’m not sure where it is. (Can’t remember if you wanted your whole name listed EG). Lovely picture and record for posterity. Wonder what the inside looks like. Turf sent this. It is a little hard to work out why it would be worst, and yet it is. Perhaps TWOP is such a cultural juggernaut, that the mere act of posting a picture renders it into a worst? This becomes a little more sinister every time I look at it. EG also sends in this Medina Park, which I’m pretty sure we have had a year or two ago, but can’t be bothered searching to check.And Leroy sends in news of a gorge sale in Palmyra. Gorge, like happiness, is on the rise.Worst well.

It may be my brain or the fact that the number of posts is now over 1200, but I was certain that I had posted this magnificent Lathlain letterbox consisting of a vcr lashed to a concrete flamingo. And yet I can’t find it. I know it has been sent to me. How could I have neglected such a superb mound of crap?It’s even got the number 5 on it! JaneZ sent the latest pics, including its recent descent into vanished worst status. This is the exact same concrete flamingo that I need to complete my own set, but I fear this one will never grace a bed of agapanthas again. At least Dominos keep stuffing the vcr slot.

Watching was surprised that this superb bad wall in Bentley East Victoria Park hasn’t been featured before. I can’t find it if it has. In any case its magnificence should be honoured forever. Could be a scene from Dune or Star Wars if not for the weatherboard.

WAtching collected this fine if baffling (pfaffling?) worst of a slightly belligerent tradie sewing machine in Mt Hawthorne.
