More history. The building once at the corner of Outram Ord Street and Thomas Street in West Perth in the actual process of falling. It was either Al Queada or Osborne Park All Demos. I think it was the Disability Services building. Can’t remember what went up in its place. Late 1990s. And a shot of a dude with a Culture Club shirt, I took on the streets of Northbridge 1983.

Wow Northbridge has changed alot!
Is the man with the stare telling the bloke in the Culture Club shirt:
‘Yes, I really do want to hurt you.’
Were this a contemporary shot, it’d be a frame of CCTV just before he decked him with that left.
and why not?
For nothing changes
Urban primitives remain
More club than culture
The synchronicity between my post and the L101′s above is most disturbing. Many thanks to all those who voted to “let the cunt be.”
Coincidence ?
Nah.
All-along-same-him Sweeny Todd.
Convenience.
Plenty of “culture” in the fridge left behind by an outgoing tenant in a neighbouring unit.
The mob sent in to clean the place almost revolted, though it was the state of the flat that was actually revolting.
It reminded me a lot of a flat mate in the late ’70s (though one would never have referred to her as ‘flat’) who had an incredible, though involuntary, capacity for making a pig pen out of wherever she stayed.
Cultured? Certainly – especially in the bathroom and inside the fridge.
Mould everywhere.
Outram St and Thomas St don’t meet.
What the hell am I talking about. I used to live there. Ord Street.
Come on. This is just a Shooped image from that Lenny Di Caprio film about dreams: you’ve added a Cocos for local colour.
Looking at the first pic., I reckon that the yanks did a much tidier job with the Twin Towers and that third building.
Not the process of falling, the actual process of falling, actually.
Why is it that everybody in a photo from the early 80′s looks like one of the Mickelberg brothers? No wonder they got done for the Mint swindle.
After a quick look on Google Street View, it looks like the Disability Services building is now a car park…
Yes I think you are right. I had blocked it out. My apartment is still there though. Nice 50s/60s place across Ord St. I think the whole front is owned by Main Roads for one day widening of Thomas.
I found the Balinese bomb site of 2002 superior to our own efforts.
Isn’t that considered treasonous?
Sigh. I wish.
(Above comment intended as a reply to Rolly above, BTW).
The Ord St Is now ConocoPhillips head office – big glassy, shiny n souless.
Hey… Charger ?
