Maybe its for people who are fans of movies like the old King and I, The Good Earth – you know when they got caucasians to “look Asian” because back then Asians were considered good enough to take the lead role.
I wonder then if the “looks Asian” chick is a white person pretending to be a white person pretending to be an Asian person… the mind boggles.

LA: Replace with Maya Indian in Fremantle. Completely different deal, different owners and a lot fancier, but the best Indian in Perth for sure. Although it is south of Perth, which I realise you may have issues with. It’s OK, I’m sure you’ll find an equal share of hideousness down here as you do in Morley and Belmont.

From memory, I think either the Parmelia Hilton, or the Sheraton Hotel, which were the 2 main hotels of choice in Perth in 1979 – Burswood was a mere old Rubbish tip at the time :-)

I really think that when it comes to food, what you don’t know often doesn’t hurt you… if it did, there wouldn’t be any yum cha…. sometimes you just get unlucky….

Also, part of me wishes I didn’t download that list of health violations. One of those restaurants- the one with probably the most violations, actually- is where we used to go for our weekly yum cha fix.

I have to ask – what the hell is “adulterated food”??? Is it food prepared by a guy who is banging the till girl behind his wife’s back? And if so, why would I care about eating it? He did wash his hands afterwards right?

1979 – it was when Miss Universe wasbeing held, and yes they were all in downtown Perth :-) I believe there wass Outrage” over the skimpyness of the Bikinis and how they wouldn’t pass the US censors.
