Now I’m all for getting rid of ridiculous palm trees from gardens, but you’ve got to finish the job. This seems to have been left as an example to other palm trees to not think about setting up here in Bayswater. Looks worse than the original tree. Reminds me a little of the cocos crucifix place.

The Christmas “Star of Bayswater” perhaps?
The miniature of Israel’s wall is a particularly nice touch. Quite a statement, really.
Bedfordians: Yes, a bit of tinsel and a few lights could make a difference. I wonder what actually happened to it. It looks like a missile attack. If you were going to chop it, surely you would cut it lower?
Oh, come on guys, be fair. This is clearly a homage to the Belltower.
What a shame! What is it with people and their hatred of Cocos palms? They’re not all bad!
They need to be positioned properly and away from buildings ideally.
I think it’s that they use a lot of water, give no shade, look ugly, and every flamin garden has one.

I don’t even know if the Jim’s pic is a photoshopped joke or for real. But that’s Perth and that’s cocoss isn’t it? It could easily be for real with that satanistic papyrus font. It’s actually kind of cool that these guys have turned some crippled Triffids – I mean Cocos into Roman columns. I’d say not worst if the rest of the house wasn’t so outre. I prefer what they’ve done on this one though. [...]
