Which at the best of times are prone to silly elitist snobbery parading as morality parading as arts philanthropy. And if one makes an enemy of the wrong type of people in the perth art scene your finished.

In one word. Nepotism.

Essentially if your a good networker and have the right contacts perth is your oyster. Which unfortunately shows itself in some of these public art commissions. The artists that get them spend too much time making friends and not enough time making decent art.
